Under UK EAPC rules:

Electric bikes must have a motor with a maximum continuous output of 250W.

The motor should only assist you when you are pedalling, and cut off once you reach 15.5mph (25 km/h).

Riders must be at least 14 years old to use an electric bike on public roads.
E-scooters are currently legal to use only on private land with the landowner’s permission, unless part of an official government rental scheme.
